An activist all her life, Kit knows that successful democracies are built on informed and principled dissent. She’s a wife, a mom and a grandma, a retired pediatric oncology nurse, a traveler, a reader, and a native Seattleite. Protest on Trial is her third book.

The Seattle 7 lived late 1960s counterculture—young, idealistic, active organizers against racism and the Vietnam War, fond of long hair, rock’n’roll, sex, drugs, and parties. In January 1970 they founded the Seattle Liberation Front (SLF).
